I am going to burn in my headphone amp (Little Dot MK II) everynight when i go to bed for the next 2 weeks. I was wondering since burning it in with my HD 595 (soon to be D2000's) is a little loud for me, could i burn it in with IEMS such as the ipod IEM? or would it take longer to burn in the amp?

you may destroy the IEMS.

wrap the headphones in a jacket or something.

what tubes are you using I have the same amp

I thnk it's basically a rotten idea. Why waste your tubes' lifespan? Just use amp and it'll burns-in overtime.

I use the Mullard M1861...got them fron yen audio on ebay for about $52 shipped

IMO, for a little dot amp which I like alot, it's not really worth the effort burning in. Just let the amp burn in naturally as you play it brotha.

I never understood the point of burning in, particularly when unattended. Surely it's better to just use the device and appreciate the subtle changes over time...
