I bought a pair of plugfones earbuds. They have tiny drivers.
I used them for podcasts and at low volume, but recently found a song that I like that I use as a reference tone for sound quality.
I bought another set, and using my reference tone I found them to be harsh, tinny, lacking in any bass and percussive to my eardrums in higher frequencies.
So without anything to lose, I hooked them up to an mp3 player and started a 'burn in" that has since spanned a couple of days.
I didn't think it would be that dramatic, but the difference is huge. Bass now 'mimics' the vibrations of the deep bass tickle in my ear canals.
However, the upper frequencies still have a percussive 'trebel' to them compared to my existing buds.
Is there a specific frequency or genre I should consider to 'loosen' up the frequency in that range? Should I be playing more classical music?
Fanfare for the common man, gershwin songs? Violin concertos?
