Hello all,

I'm Giovanni, from Italy.
I need your help.
I own a MDR-7506 headphones; yesterday night the right channel stopped working.
I dismantled the earcup (is this the right word?), only to find the right driver is dead (there's no electrical continuity).
Cables and connection are fine.
So, my question is: where can I buy a 40 mm driver to substitute the old one?
I need a valid source, I can find a lot of 40 mm drivers on sale on Aliexpress, but I don't trust them.
I can also evaluate different drivers; the only fixed parameter is the diameter.
Do you know any shop, preferably in Europe?

Thank you in advance

You are probably better off just buying another cheap, used pair.

You can find a couple 40mm drivers here: https://en.toutlehautparleur.com/loudspeaker/haut-parleur-casque.html

Bit of gamble if they will fit in MDR cups depth wise and if they will sound any good.
Also would need some sort of protective cover to prevent diaphragm getting damaged accidentally.

My Sony MDR7510 came with a parts list. The drivers, as I understand it, are different from the -7506. @barato has a valid point. It might be less frustrating buying a replacement pair.
