I'm kind of new here and am wondering what the message replies that only say "bump" mean?

It's probably obvious but is escaping me at this point.

Thanks,

Curt

Oh, and a slightly more useful post:

Common courtesy for "bumping" threads is about once per day, or maybe twice a day if it is pushed down off the first page.

Just don't bump a thread every hour because you aren't getting replies.

And, No bumping in the For Sale Forums unless you are the seller. Bumps by other than the seller and discussions will be deleted without comment or explanation.

here I was all amped up to rant about how ridiculous it was and how I seen a little guy once get totally slammed into the wall when this very "hippy' woman nailed him just right and I find this instead

soooooooo.....

Any post will bring that thread back up to the top of the forum it is in but any thread with no activity will slide down the page until it is gone.

There are times a member has a question and it goes unanswered and he really needs an answer so to keep it topical he posts "bump" which restores it to the top of the forum page so the thread remains current and possibly receive a response.
