Sorry to be so dense, but what does "bump" mean?.

It's a way of getting a thread to come up to the top when clicking on "View New Posts". You just post a reply to yourself on the same thread. Sort of like nagging. Used most often in the Gear For Sale/Trade section, to keep an ad highly visible, but sometimes used in thread without a lot of responses, to try to get a fresh group of people to look at it who may ha' missed it the first time.

Ah.... THAT "bump." I didn't know what context he was referring to. I thought it kind of odd that someone registered from New Jersey would be asking for a definition of a common word...
