My beloved iRiver iHP-120 gave me the dreaded "Check HDD Connection" and 0000 songs, 0000 files, hard drive spinning noisily, etc. Waiting for a T5 wrench to get in and re-seat the hard-drive. I'm hoping for the best...I'd hate to have to walk away from this incredible player.

Had the same problem a while ago, and it was solved by using the reformat option on the player. Have you tried that? I agree, being forced to leave my H120 would be a big loss

Had it happen on my H320 after a problem with Media Player 10, All of the artist, and album info was there, just no songs! And "Check Hard Drive Connection"! Ended up reformatting it, and turning off automatic sync with MP10.

The same thing happened to both my sisters and my 120. I sent both of them back to iRiver and they sent me new ones no questions asked. They were both still under the one year warranty, but nothing was asked about when they were purchased.
