I've got a small DAC I'd like to use portably. A battery pack to run it should be fine but how and to what specs should I build it?
The DAC draws 400milliamps at 14 volts. Do I just solder in series 12 1.2 volt NiMh of as high an milliamphour as I can find? Or is there a better way? Once I have this pack, how do I charge it without destroying it?
