Hey guys, I want to get a good pair of earphones for college. I am by no means an audiophile but i can appreciate good sound to a certain degree. I was looking into both the Audio Technica ATH-CK7 and Head Direct RE0.

I want something that'll last a long time without being damaged easily.

I look for full bass with good impact and clarity in the mids and highs. (a bit generic but I haven't learned to appreciate the more specific qualities of sound just yet)

I am using an ipod touch as the source without and external amp

My previous earphones were the JVC air cushions (if it matters)

The price difference is around $25 so that is also a minor consideration.

With these details in mind, which would you suggest?

Thanks for the help

Well, the German Maestro GMP 8.35D are neigh-indestructable. As in: cars can ride over'em.
I dunno what your budget is, but you might want to look into anything by Koss (Portapro and KSC75 come to mind), since there's a lifetime warranty, which makes them as good as indestructable (esp. if you buy two pair).
As for SQ: can't comment on that. I only have experience with the phones in my profile.
Hope this helps.
