Looking to build an ok surround sound system for around $400. Should I buy individual components or should I piece it together myself? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the USA you can hunt for dated but still good coax/optical AVRs on Craiglist? More funds for better speakers/sub

Well i'd say look for one within your budget and has features that you require ^^
