Hey guys, I found those awesome Insignia Bookshelf Speakers (NS-B2111) and am considering getting them for my computer setup (audigy2zs). My 5.1 system takes up too much space and I rarely use it since I got into this forum XD

What must I get to make these work? I know these speakers use standard speaker wire jacks... so I found around here that the Sonic Impact T-Amp for ~$30 was a very good budget combo with the Insignias...

other than speaker wire(?) are there any other cables/equipment to get?

also, how do my headphones fit into this system? or is this setup only for speakers?

Thanks,

so i'm guessing radio shack for the linear power supply.

for the blue jeans cables... which ones do i get? i see a couple different types (sorry I have no idea what to do, i've only had experience with a home theatre in a box)

the t-amp doesn't have a "headphone" jack... so im guessing im out of luck for trying to use the t-amp for my headphones too?

Do you mean desk space, or floor (sub) and rear space? These speakers are huge compared to "computer speakers"

OTOH, i got a pair of these and I'm thoroughly enjoying them, despite losing a battle for desk space.

Let's go through the checklist:

1. Speakers - Insignia NS-B2111
2. Source - Computer?
3. Amplification - Sonic Impact T-Amp
4. Interconnect(s) [i.e. source to amp connection]
5. Speaker cable

For #4, Blue Jeans Cable LC-1. For #5, Blue Jeans Cable Belden 12 AWG (grey or white). You won't find any decent speaker amplifiers that also have headphone jacks for around $30 unless you manage to get a killer deal on an old receiver or integrated amplifier on eBay.
