Hi looking for iems for a friend that offer good levels of isolation with the silicone tips. Considering the Shure 102 i think it is?
but i hear they sound pretty aweful. its $100 is AUS which (about 90USD)

Is there any other budget options with good isolation and sound better for the price?

well mostly for plane travel and subway. where the added isolation is rather nice, otherwise yes, would have got the re0's

The Ety ER6i phones are no longer the cutting edge, but they're still among the strongest midprice phones, with excellent isolation using the triple-flanged tips.

I'm currently using Shure SE115 and UE super.fi 4 (trying to decide between the two is difficult). I'd say the super.fi 4 has good isolation, but the SE115 is excellent. Only problem with the SE115s is that they seem to be a bit bass-heavy. The super.fi 4s on the other hand are clean sounding, but lean in the bass. Very tough decision.

se115s are 150 in AUS.... were on the list of considerations initially,

ooh er6i's, never thought of that, any idea on the cheapest place to get them?

another vote for the er6i. hard to beat them for isolation. i dont remember which blocked out more noise with the olives or triple flange but still great isolation regardless of which one you used.
