Hey all,
I recently purchased an Audio-Technica ATH-AD900, which I run out of onboard sound on my laptop. It was an improvement over my other pair of cans, but I can't help but feel like I could improve the sound a bit.
Hence, I've decided to purchase a cheapo integrated DAC/Amp that would synergize with the AD900. I'm currently thinking of a $200 budget, or is that not good enough?
Options I have considered include:
EMU 0404 (I heard this wasn't as warm, I wonder if it will synergize)
Fubar III
Hifiman EF2 (Heard the amp was good, DAC ok, and whether the AD900 will benefit from a better source vs a better amp).
I am of course open to other options, especially any that have been tested
