My Bryston BHA-1 amp has a balanced output and a single ended output. I have my HD 800 connected to the stereo balanced output.
When I connect another device (Subpac S2) to the single ended output simultaneously, I notice that the output coming out of my HD 800 becomes a bit quieter. Disconnecting the single ended cable brings it back to normal volume.
Is there anything I should be considered about here? Is turning the volume up sufficient to deal with this? Or is the sound quality being degraded in some way by outputting to both at once? Should I get a splitter instead?
Thanks.
