Thanks to those who came

The turn out was.... well enough for me to accept that the Brisbane scene has really taken a turn over the last few years. We still had fun anyway. There was some great gear and being my third meet, I had more fun talking to other members.

I was impressed again with Jeff's EC:BA and the surprise package for me was Thawn7's vintage amp driving his K701s. They sounded great! I easily preferred the K701 off the DNA Sonnet BUT the price difference is something one must take into consideration.

The vintage amp is a ME Control Preamplifier.  I think its around 25 years old.  I personally prefer the K701 on the ME Pre over the DNA.  What was interesting to me is the Eddie Current is very similar to the ME Pre with the K701.
