-Crashs all the time.

-UI is dumb!

-Everytime you want to switch from Slimserver to Pandora you have to do a firmware update.
-Force feedback knob's almost as dumb as its UI.

-Analog out's are not audiophile...

-Built like a rock with the exception of knob falling off.

-Very stable powersupply.

I've never had a crash with my Transporters. I use FLAC files and run them both wireless. I think you may have an issue with your setup.

As a digital transport, I think it is a as transparent as one could hope. Jitter numbers are miniscule. The analog outputs benefit from a few upgrades. Modded, I think the analog outs sound as good as any DAC I've heard in the $1,000 range.

Same experience for me as Sleestack states. Never had a problem with crashes. I actually find the interface fairly intuitive to navigate. The analog outs on my TPorter while good, are nowhere near what my modded DAC1 puts out. But to be fair there is quite a price differential.

$2k for a digital transport sounds like a lot

So where is transporter lite with no analog out?

But you could throw $700 at modding it before you get to what a "transporter lite" would likely cost.

Not really. Consider the price of some other good digital transports. I paid close to $3K for my Northstar transport and $13K for the Esoteric P-03 transport.
