Since the UK voted to leave the EU does this mean that in 2 years time Sony, Apple and other companies will ship out mobile phones and DAPs to the UK without them been capped with the dreaded EU volume cap?

Haha! That could be the only good thing to come of this clusterf**k

No one has any idea how things wil turn out yet. There may be a BRITISH vol cap to replace for all we know. But more likely we should get Japan spec devices (volume wise anyway). It would be cool if Sony and others decided to act early but I doubt they will.

I suspect its much more about commercial considerations than legal ones.  That is, its probably easier for companies to produce one model for the whole of 'Europe' and just ensure that model satisfies the regulations in every country.  Hence the UK being in or out of the EU probably won't make any difference.

Besides, I prefer to use Rockbox anyway.
