the D3 is a probably different form factor i think not gonna replace the D2, gonna be thinner too, i hope.

The D2 is basicly a swiss army of dap´s, its format support, sound quality and battery life makes it a pretty solid audio player, if they could just make it cheaper, add the 32gb version and fix the bass roll off, and thats basicly what i hope comes from the D2+.

I am curious to know if the firmware that is provided with the D2+ is compatible with the D2, since there is no hardware update other than the outside shell.

Just wanted to answer to a previous post that 37+37mW means 37mW per channel and as such the amp is not more powerful than the original D2.
