I just recently ordered a Behringer HPX2000 DJ headphone off Amazon. I have read in many places that you should always "Break in" a pair of headphones like these for a couple hours. However, is this really necessary? I know Q701's need a lot of break in but do my pair even need 90 hours? If they do, should I use a pink-noise generator, frequency sweep, or something like that and how long? I'm not a really techie guy, so please make this simple.

They'll break in on their own with use. It has to do with the relaxing of the diaphragms, but a lot of the "burn-in" is psychological, as you get used to the sound. That's one of the more controversial topics here.

Just constantly play music through them for a couple days.  Listen to them when you're there and leave them playing when you're not.  You don't need to do anything special.  After like half a day you probably won't notice any difference in the  sound, but it doesn't hurt to to fully burn them in just in case.
