I just stumbled across the Beyerdynamic DT 990's for $170 + shipping ($178 total)
This is on Amazon Marketplace through 'Electronica Direct': Link

It looks like a good price based on some quick checks on Google and PriceGrabber. Is this a good deal for a new DT990's?

It looks like they are selling the older version of the DT990....not the newer one found here beyerdynamic DT 990 @ HeadRoom - Right Between Your Ears

I can't say for sure, but I don't think it's a good price for the older DT990.

Is there anywhere to compare the internals or specs between the 2 models?

Can anyone here shed light on the differences?

I did some checking and $170 is the going rate for a new DT990 Pro. I've seen them sell here for around $135.
