hi Head-Fi members ,  i bought a new CD recently it came in the mail i immediately put it in my DVD Drive and ripped the tracks off of it with EAC (Secure Mode).
 
 
i noticed from the word go it was ripping really slow like X0.1 for the first track ,  after that it started ripping at a decent speed.  I was wondering what was the cause of the slow rip speed on track 1 after inspecting the CD it has dot specks and also lines that run from the center of the disc to the outer ,  the lines only go to the end of track 1 ......roughly.
 
 
the CD i bought from Willowtip a US record label ,  should i ask for a replacement ?............music wise i dont hear any problems on track 1 through Foobar and my Headphones.

Sounds like a bad CD. 
CDs should look flawless on the shiny side - no specks or anything.
 
EAC just proved that the a brand new CD is not perfect.... or you've got dust on your DVD laser

Does it mean that it is an entirely bad CD if it shows that all the tracks couldn't be verified as accurate?
I've read on another forum that this could also be the problem coming from differences with the CRC provided on AccurateRip.
And as the CRC on the test shows exactly the same, I guess it's not much problem to be worried about.
 
After all, I guess AccurateRip being a secondary addon to EAC shows something. So far as I've tried this with foobar2000 and my headphones, no errors have been audible.

Unlikely. EAC uses profiles specific to different models of CD/DVD players to help verify accuracy - but it's entirely possible that a production run of the same hardware yields slight differences in performance/tolerances. It's not worth worrying about 0.1% accuracy unless you're aiming for 'perfection'.... whatever that is.
 
You could try performing the hardware test ("configuration wizard") again to get an updated profile of your hardware. That may yield more accurate verification.
You probably don't need to worry about not running any other software in the background or anything like that as the process is entirely digital.

That is also what I am thinking about. And it's not that I will start everything from the beginning, though. So far I'm very satisfied with the rips. Trying the CD I used for driver config for now. Hope I understand a bit more.
