I have recently been looking for a budget pair of IEMs under£50(about $80). I have heard good things about the Brainwavz M5, Jvc-HAFX40 and Astrotec 90. They are for my my cowon x9.
Has anyone tried these and recommend them or know of any similar models in this price range. listen to almost every genre of music but mainly I tend to listen to a lot of shoegaze, new wave and jazz hip-hop i dont know if this helps.

As much as I love my FX40, it is a risky pick due to the harsh treble and I wouldn't recommend it to other people unless they know the kind of sound they want. Beside, with $80 you can do much better. Dont know about other 2 though so I just bump this to give your thread some attention

Thanks, i have also been looking at Fischer audio silver bullet, JVC HAFXD80, vsonic vc02 and vsonic gr06, anyone else tried these?
