First time posting, but been lurking a while.

I bought a pair of Koss KSC50's yesterday at CC. Been listening to them and just realized they have a regular cord on them, not the fabric covered one.

Any ideas why mine have a different cord? Koss's site still says they come with the fabric covered one. Maybe they were getting too many warranty claims regarding wear?

I'm glad Koss finally realized their mistake! The fabric cord is quite fragile... a real pain in the ass. I eventually ended up doing surgery on my KSC-50... I replaced that crappy cord with a rubber one.
