Boston Meet?
Sep 2, 2015 at 9:54 PM Post #46 of 72
Any update on a Boston meet? I live in southern Maine and this is likely the closest I will find. Soundlion in Cambridge is a cool headphone store that may support enthusiasts like us (even if they sell mass market equipment). Just a thought...

EDIT: Wow-forgot to read past the first page.... looks exciting

It looks like Nashua is gonna be the closest for you. I talked to vinnie and he seems pretty confident it's going to happen.

I've just moved back to the States and Fidelis is about 10 minutes down the road for me so I guess I don't have any excuses in not going.

Depending on what I still have by Decemeber I'll probably bring along most of my collection.

Also very, very interested to hear some of your stuff Zach (a bit hard to find in the UK).

Does anyone who is thinking of going have or is planning on purchasing the Hifiman HE-400S? I'm very interested in it and I'd love to try it out.

I imagine you're referring to the HE-400S, not the HE-400, but I do have an HE-400 that I'll bring if I haven't sold them by then.

This "HE-400s" thing must be causing a lot of confusion, given how often we talk about headphones in the plural...

If it's any consolation to anyone, I'll be bringing my 400i to the meet. I know they're different than the 400s but I guarantee it'll knock your socks off for what it can do, at its price point.

I am talking about the 400S, it has been quite confusing

I believe your HE400i were the ones I tried at last year's meet; thanks for letting me try them. They were my favorite headphones I had tried there in terms of SQ + signature, and are my favorite headphone I've tried so far. I'd love to hear them again; it's why I'm interested in the 400S.

Cool, I remember you well. If you get the 400s, would love to compare the two.

I may try to before the meet; $300 is big chunk of cash for me, and I'd prefer to try it beforehand, but I may just go for it. Reviews are promising, and I would like to be able to take it to the meet.
