I've had 2 wave systems; one was discounted like 75% off because it came as a deal with a Lifestyle system. I thought that was a fantastic deal. In my opinion they are basically the best tabletop radio that one can buy. However, comparing it to a component system, it wouldn't be comparable. It also depends a lot of the type of music that you listen to. For "acoustic" type of music, I notice that the radio produces a warm ample amount of bass, but it it absent in hip-hop r&b rock metal mixes. It is also very pricey, and kind of a waste for a night stand radio, since you will never really crank it up. But overall, I think it's a cool product, just kind of expensive.
