Bose QC 20i or the Sennheiser IE80?

You are comparing apples & oranges. With the Bose, you are paying primarily for the active noise cancellation. Without the noise cancelling, the Bose sell for $89.

I guess I wasn't clear. I think the Bose are mediocre headphones with active noise cancellation. That's why they cost $300. Active noise cancellation usually does not make headphones sound better, it usually makes them sound worse. Therefore, if I was going to spend $300 on IEMs, I would not want active noise cancellation. I would be looking at the IE80, UE900, Etymotic ER4P (or ER4S) or maybe the Fidue A83.
