many audiophiles don't like bose. It's like Monster with their cables. Overprice em', put a name to it, put above average materials in it to make it sound "marketable". Bose has some good innovations, like monster does. But you only put 20% high innovation and 80% marketing and you have a formula for good profit bad credibility.
For me, I would go another route. I wasn't impressed with their first set of IEMs. Tips didn't stay on, lows were too overwhelming, seal was impossible to achieve (Seal was as perfect as it could get with those earphones and it wasn't good). Just many things I didn't like. Their noise isolation technology is nice, but to pay $300 bucks for something that is fairly insignificant after you play your music is a waste to me...
So I wouldn't expect MUCH from bose and their IE2s. I'm sure there are some new innovations and things they have ironed out running their second gen IEMs, but I'm not expecting much. There are much better things you can invest in with $70 bucks. Even Monster turbines? lol
