I know for headphones theyre not the best priced, how are they when it comes to their stereo systems? For price and performance?

They have even worse bang for buck. Read this. That being said, they don't "blow period". The Triports have some redeeming qualities. And the 901s were the first dipole speakers, I think. Dipoles are pretty popular today and used by many speaker manufactureres, and that's probably the peak of Bose's innovations.
