First of all - I am no audio expert.
 
I have  brand new headphones Bose EO2i and would like to get some feedback from other users who don't have an apple product to listen to music.
I know it is designed for Apple products mainly but I've used it with a Samsung Galaxy S.
 
It doesn't seem compatible but couldn't find any information about this on other forums. Maybe I have a faulty model?
 
When used with my samsung phone, the sound is very light, there is no bass and the voice of the singer is very low (when using during a call, the caller's voice is very low too). 
 
When I press the middle button on the remote, music and bass are much clearer, the singer and caller's voice come back to a normal volume.
 
Did anyone experience the same issue ??

I can't comment on how the control function works with a Samsung phone but Bose sells a straight cable for $7 with free shipping:
