WFAN in NY is reporting that Baseball Great (As well as Barry's father) Bobby Bonds passed away today.

He was very ill for the last two weeks, and finally succombed today.

A lot of you may not remember him, but he had tools his son did, just not the power, and he was more personable.

Yeah very sad day for baseball and Giants fans.

He went out fighting though but now he is at peace.

On a side note, the Giants won another thrilling game with video shown of people speaking about Bobby Bonds throughout the commercial breaks ...

I hope Barry comes back with that hot bat of his soon ...

I had the thrill of attending Bobby Bonds first game as a major leaguer. He hit a grand slam in his second or third at bat. The guy played like Willie Mays, power and speed.

He will be missed.

Great player, and bred another great one. Nice to see he was able to take in a game this week before his death. Man, too young.
