I have a fiio x1 dap that I love and it doesn’t have a blue tooth option. I’m assuming I can plug a portable BT transmitter into it to work with some BT iem I own. Do you guys have one that you recommmend. That’s ultra portable .I’m assuming one with aptx hd and BT 5.2, for maximum quality.
I’m a novice with Bluetooth and would appreciate the help.

Seems like just buying a new DAP with Bluetooth built in would be a cleaner option. I've seen transmitters that would probably work, but then you have yet another device to charge, not to mention the added bulk

You can add a transmitter but this means the Fiio converts to analog, the BT sender converts the analog to digital, applies the lossy compression (aptx-hd) and send this to the headphone.
You might as well use a phone with build in BT to avoid a unnecessary AD/DA conversion.
