I am getting a blackberry that offers stereo bluetooth and got to wondering whether it would be possible to make a small, portable amp that would communicate via bluetooth with the BB and allow me to just plug my IEM's in to the amp???

Honestly the audio quality you lose by using bluetooth makes an amp not worth it. Bluetooth audio is decent for the average user, but if you care about your sound you probably won't be too fond of it.

ah, well. Good to know. I was unsure how the sound was transmitted. Wishful thinking it was a nice, bit perfect digital stream!
