Does anyone know how the Blackberry Bold 9700 compares soundwise to Sony Ericsons, Iphones etc. I already have a dedicated Ipod touch and currently use a Nokia X5800 for when i am ipod less, will the blackberry match the nokia or should i look elseware?

I have a bold 9700, my SE phone w510i blows it away.. the 9700 is rolled off on the low end, it's disappointing even with its eq, which is preset, no custom available...I was hoping it would be acceptable, to me it's not. I'd like to hear any impressions about the SQ from any Pearl 3G owners out there, I like the slim form factor.

blackberry 8320 s' sound is acceptable,I don't have bold 9700 to compare but I think using mobilephone for listening to music is terrible.
even though series of xepress musik from Nokia

I used my 8520 for a while before my iPod Classic arrived. It's not good I'm afraid, just this side of unlistenable to me.

I dont know if it was possible back in those days but i updated my 9700 to os 6 and i just found that i can play FLAC files ;D
