Hi, I've heard that the headphone sound quality on the BOLD is quite good. I was wondering if the newer Curve (8900, not 8300) uses the same if not similar audio chip. So if anyone with the new Curve could give me an opinion on the sound quality, that would be great!

i know my old curve defiantly does not, it sounded like crap. and yes the bold is the perfect phone for me because of its sound quality, it does have a little his though. I tried my friends new curve and it didnt sound the same.

I think the 8900 has pretty decent SQ. Compared with a Sansa Fuze, the sound is a little 'thinner', not as tight and coherent, but has maybe a slightly wider soundstage. The bass and highs are good but once again, not as high or coherent. If I had to guess, I would say it might not have as high a SNR as the Fuze, but good quality overall. I haven't heard the Bold so can't compare.
