I just bought an 8830 from Telus and I was wondering if anyone knew for sure if Telus locks them down? If so how can I unlock it? I ask because in a month or so I may be going to the UK and want to buy a pay and talk sim since Telus' international roaming rates are terrible ($2/min and $1/text hahaha).

I got my from Sprint via my job. I've read that SPrint doesn't lock their 8830's but Verizon does. No real idea about Telus. Enjoy the phone. It is by far the best Blackberry to date.

I just called Telus to check and was told that I could use a European sim card in the phone so unless they were mistaken it's unlocked.
I love this phone, I've never had so many options in a phone before now I have to start downloading some software
