For those who don't know, it's the new Dream Theater album - came out on the 23rd. For all you DT fans out there, I would like to know what you thought.

I personally think it's very good - I was scared that when Jordan Rudess said the band was going gothic that it would be totally overdramatic to the point where it was just stupid. I was pleased to find out that it was typical DT. I also loved "The Shattered Fortress" - I've been waiting for the alcoholics anonymous suite to be finished for so long. Amazing ending.

I found it pretty solid, but nothing spectacular. I also enjoyed "The Shattered Fortress", and even though it's a medly of the rest of the suite it was probably the most engaging song on the album for me.
