Bit Comparator differences FLAC and MP3 normal correct?

This is normal correct, because I assume since MP3 is compressed there will be bits lost, because I get the following when I run Bit Comparator in foobar:

Comparing:
"M:\Music\Music Albums\Albums\xxx\CD 3\01. yyy.flac"
"C:\Documents and Settings\Brendan\Desktop\01. yyy.mp3"
Differences found: 24783464 sample(s), starting at 0.3145578 second(s), peak: 0.1346466 at 256.8936508 second(s), 2ch


I used foobar to convert the FLAC to MP3 (320kb/s).
