Biginner Amplifier Question…….Please help!

Depending on the technology I would say.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is right..
* Electrostatics -> Voltage driven.
* Dynamics -> Current driven.

Hence mass would probably be 'voltage x current'. Both a product of the amplifiers power supply.
If either one is low, then the mass would be low as well.

I'm looking for more theoretical answer what makes top notch amploifiers so expansive.

if you are looking for theory, you should post in diy or sound science, the guys that hang out there are more likely to have your answer.
