last night, i saw tim burton's latest creation: Big Fish (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319061/). it was a really great movie and i highly recommend it. sort of epic in that fried green tomatoes sort of way, only not as chick-flickish. a really great selection of characters are in the movie, with an equally great cast playing them. i personally enjoyed the flashback/story scenes more than the main current timeline story of the film, but that's probably because i'm more of a fan of ewan mcgregor than this billy crudup character.

great visuals by burton (what a suprise), as well as a nice soundtrack by danny elfman rounds out the movie for me. surely in this year's top five for me, i highly recommend it.

p.s. there's a tivoli model one on edward bloom (senior)'s nightstand.

It's true, anything that Grinch says is good, is.

[size=xx-small]So we're drinkin, drinkin, drinkin, drinkin coca coca-cola
I can feel it rollin' right on down, oh right on down my throat
And as we're headed down the road towards tiny cities made of ashes
I'm gonna get dressed up in plastic, gonna shake hands with the masses, oh no!
Does anybody know a way that a body could get away?
Does anybody know a way?
Were goin' down the road towards tiny cities made of ashes
I'm gonna hit you in the face I'm gonna punch you in your glasses, oh no!

I was disappointed. I was hoping for the typical Burton effects, but they were almost completely absent here.

There were LOTS of old ladies in the audience when I was there....

About the best part was spotting the radio.... Should have seen ROTK again instead...
