Used as a preamp and headphone amp.

I have not A/B tested it against my LH0033 versions. So far, sounds great.

nice!!

I've been thinking alot lately about designing my own PCBs instead of sticking with perfboards. Whaddya know, after seeing your perfboard work, i might actually give perfboard sometime! The fun in working with perfboards surpasses what the PCB can give.

Thanks for the motivation.

Love those TO-3's. They look much more "manly" then tabs or chips. Can I ask were you sourced them?

The perf board can be bought at "Frys" electronic stores, or Digikey. around $15 usa for 4" x 6".

The lh0063's were purchased on ebay (not cheap).

The changes are LH0063, instead of LH0033.....and 62 ohm (or so) output resistor instead of the 150 ohm. These resistors should be several watts to protect these devices if the outputs get shorted. I had some 8 watt (overkill) Vishay types....two 125 ohm in parallel give 62.5 ohm.
See the datasheet for recommended power supply bypassing.
Keep lead lengths short between the parts.
(I have some parts underneath the board, not seen in my photo.)
