I have a 2x120 Rotel amp with an A/B speaker selector. I have speakers that can be bi-wired or bi-amped. I understand the difference between bi-amping and bi-wiring. I realize that what I am proposing is not bi-amping, but want to know if there are any benefits to driving the lows of both speakers with the left channel (using the left binding posts on both the A and B rows on the amp) and the tweeters with the right channel (using the right binding posts on both the A and B rows on the amp)?

You will hear, in mono from somewhere between the speakers, the bass and midrange of the left channel and the treble of the right channel.

You will not hear at all, the bass and midrange of the right channel or the treble of the left channel.

That makes sense, thanks for that.
