I just picked up the Beyerdynamics DT 880s.  I need an amp to drive them to use its full potential.  What kind should I be looking for?  I don't need it to be fully portable but it would be a nice plus.  Looking at spending a max of $100

What impedance is it ? If 250 or 600 Ω, and you do not need portability, then try the FiiO E9 (AC powered, not portable, but plenty of power). If 32 Ω, then the E11 instead (also for 250 Ω if portability is needed). For the 250 Ω version, you could also use JDS Labs' cMoyBB as a portable amplifier.

It's the 250 Ohms version.  The more I think I about the more I'd like to have it portable.  The cMoyBB looks pretty good, would you say that's a better fit for me than the E11 then?

Some do prefer the cMoys over the E11.
But I would assume both would do the job.
