Hi guys

I am looking specifically for a closed set of cans. I have dt-880 and really like it's comfort and how it sits on my ears. I assume 770 is same size/etc just closed version. I am not worried about sound quality per say (it'll be used to watch TV in a noisy environment, plugged into a receiver), just the fit and comfort and it has to be closed cans.

Is there any other model from BD that can work for me? I am looking to stay below $200

TIA

The DT770 is a good headphone. It has a different sound than the DT880 though. The 80 ohm version is bass heavy, but I like it. I own the 600 ohm DT770 Premium and love it, it's more neutral than the others. They isolate so well! Another headphone by Beyer is the Custom One Pro. It's closed back so it should isolate well too.

The DT770 also has more clamping force though, so it will feel more tight on your head.

No, the PRO models have more clamping force than the Premium models. The DT770 Pro, 880 Pro, and 990 Pro all have the same headband. The stiffness of their pads are all different though.

I thought we were talking about 770 Pro, since you mentioned the 80 ohm version. Can you get the Premium in an 80 ohm version?

I was just saying that it isn't just the 770 pro that has tight clamping force, it's all the pro models. And no, the 770 Premium models are discontinued, even when they were still made they didn't have an 80 ohm premium unfortunately.
