Beyerdynamic TYGR 300R: Still Worth It in 2025? Updated review

The Beyerdynamic TYGR 300R has been a staple for gamers and music enthusiasts, often praised for its comfort and wide soundstage. But with so many newer options available, I revisited this classic to see if it still holds up today.
In my latest review, I dive into:
  • Unboxing and first impressions (including a look at its non-detachable cable).
  • Performance tests with the RME ADI-2 DAC FS and Schiit Valhalla 2.
  • Trying Dekoni Elite Velour Pads to assess comfort and sound changes.
  • Whether the $170 USD / €160 price tag is still justified in today’s market.
I also briefly compare the TYGR 300R to alternatives like the Sennheiser HD560S and discuss why the TYGR remains a solid option for some, despite its limitations.
