Currently, I have the following setup. 
 
BeyerDynamic T1 Headphones
BeyerDynamic A1 AMP
Schiit Modi DAC
 
Audio has been a mix of bad and good- I've noticed that the audio seems flat depending on what I listen to and when pushed to higher volumes audio the sound quality is quite poor. Not really sure what I can work on re-configuring to get better sound out of this pair of headphones. Does anyone have any suggestions?
 
Types of music that I listen to: Acoustic, Folk, R&B, Pop, Indie, House, Alt / Rock, Electronic Mixes- And more recently Metal.

You have a $99 entry level DAC in chain with Flagship Beyer equipment.  I'd start with the DAC and your music files (you did not mention their format or quality).
