I order them due to curiosity, since they are really not known headphones.


I also got Koss Pro4AAAT, which I am not so impressed (but I think they are interesting headphones as well.)


Now these DTX900.....



They sound amazing.



Cannot believe their MSRP is mere $110.00.... They should increase the price to about 250$ and no one still would complain about it.

Sound quality alone, IMO, is about same league as DT880/990 or even better, since sound tonality/response is miles better than DT880. Unlike high-end beyers, they do not suffer recessed midrange problem while treble is tamed down a bit, resulting in great sound balance. Yet sound is still crystal clear.

Not sure how my opinion will change, but these cans are great cans and everyone should listen to them once.

Just wondering what year and or model you are comparing the Beyer DTX-900 to as far as your DT880 and DT990 models are concerned-(what year were they produced, ohm resistance, etc.). Can let you know of my experiences with DTX-900 when I find out this information. Happy Listening.
