Yep; it's the last chance for the DT931 and the DT831. Their replacements will be the DT860 and the DT660.

The 440 is the official replacement for the 531, btw

Dear headfellows,

Officially the DT831 and DT931 are still available but the DT660 and DT860 are simply very similar sounding and have much better build quality. I therefore decided to take the DT831 and DT931 out of my program. They still can be ordered but I don't have them on stock anymore.

Cheers,

Jan

Now that you've cleaned up your list ...

Well, you shouldn't say the 770 sounds like the 770 PRO if you don't even have the PRO anymore

The average customer will go "Huh what? PRO where? What does it sound like?"

Also, it would be nice to see your impressions of the 80 Ohm "Monitor" version of the DT770.

cheers,

Hopefully this weekend. I received some last week but didn't have time to give them a decent listening.

Cheers,

Jan

So does the DT660 or the DT860 sounds like the DT931?

Is the DT931 just an open version of the 831? I'm considering getting the 931 because I prefer open air headphones? Or would I be better off just getting the 990?

The DT931 is actually semi-open. Can't comment on the differences in sound signature.

931 is quite good, i even kept it as a backup fone and i don't keep backups of anything!

it's less bright than the 831 and has more detail, you'd be sure to enjoy it if you like the 831. the 990 is a totally different sounding fone and it's more like an uncle of the 770 which i can't stand.
