So recently I got some 880s off of ebay and now all of my room mates want one (get them while they're young eh). Anyway, the problem is that they don't trust online retailers and they don't want to pay the fees associated with customs and etc so where can they get these headphones for cheap in Toronto? I know Long and McQuade is an official Beyer reseller but they don't have these in stock. Weired...that they have DT990s...pretty cheap too $189 cad...should I call them and ask them to order it or...

BTW How much would the fees cost if they were to get it off of headroom or earphone solutions? I wouldn't know since I asked the ebay retailer to send it as a gift

Thanks in Advance

If Long & McQuade will order them in for you, go for it.

You could also give Studio Economik in Montreal a shot (Studio Economik | Pro-Audio Recording Equipment | Canada). I bought a pair of headphones from them recently, and your roommate might be more comfortable dealing with them because you arrange things over the phone. It was a good buying experience.

Sorry, was going to answer your other question too.

If Canada Post gets 'em, they charge you $5 plus the GST on the item.

I've heard UPS likes to charge a bit more than that.
