Ok I went to my local Guitar Center in Brookfield today and saw they had DT770's for $129.99 new! That's actually a steel! They usually go around $200. Oh and these are the black ones, not the silver ones.

However I don't know if this is for every store. There wasn't anyone else around to ask at the time when I saw them. Hopefully it's regional.

Hmmm, these must only be at your specific Guitar Center. I called mine a few minutes ago, and the price was still listed at $199.99.

Did you get a closer look at whether they were 80 or 250 Ohms?

hm, well the ones they stock are the '03 versions I guess. Too bad this isn't going on everywhere else. There was a couple left earlier today, does anybody want me to pick a pair up for them? I can if you want.
