These headphones a great. The highs are great, the mids are great and the bass is great. They are sturdy and well made. They need a good amp to drive them well. I'm lovin' these.

There aren't many thread about these.

I own a set, I think they are a great all around performer and a real value. They make a terrific alternative to the Grado phones. If you are seeking comfort but still want a can that can not only rock, but do many styles of music well. All this for a price less than the SR-225's.

I recently rediscovered mine. They are surprisingly good, to the point where I took them off sale.

I absolutely love my 990 PROs. They are so much fun to listen to, no matter what program material I choose. They may not have lab accuracy, but they are musical, crisp, and sound fabulous on single ended amplifiers. Every aspect of the sound seems to be controlled very well.

My only gripe is that I have the headband maxed out and it's just barely enough.

The best headphones IMO, but they need good amplification. iBasso do that very well.

990s have pronounced treble and bass compared to the 880s. Larger soundstage too.
