I'm thinking about buy one or the other, but would like some input.

Amps I would most like pair one of these with:
1. Audio-gd NFB11 2015 version
or
2. Aune T1se

Thanks!

Take the 1770 and pair it with some schiit gear.
They say 650 is too dark for grado fans

I do love my Grado cans, I like other things too, my only thought is that the 1770 might be too bright at times, I'm looking for something a bit (lightly) recessed in the upper end.

~ Since you have described the sound of the NFB-11 as being on the bright side in the treble (backed off a bit with overnight play), I think that the Sennheiser HD650 would be the better of the two hp.
~ The Sennheiser midrange is magical and the HD650 is ‘warmer’ than the HD600. The FR of the DT1770 is somewhat ‘V-shaped’: I enjoy it with OTL tube hpa but it would likely not go well with NFB-11 tendency to brightness.
~ The Drop/Sennheiser HD-6XX is the HD-650 with different cosmetics. The drivers are the same. The last time that I looked, they were $179.
~ Lastly, if you own the HD-6XX and later you want increased clarity, you can replace the ear side foams. See below on my HD-600 (the HD-6XX with same modification is at ‘mountain house’).

Not with the right music and good recordings.
Like Tom Russel Borderland
Tom Russel sounds like my friend Gus... LOL

I'm not sure I have the right music, I have eclectic tastes, some good some rather rough.

Let’s remember some words from the LP Soul Searching, Average White Band (Atlantic, 1976): “Music, sweet music, you’re the queen of my soul….”

Thanks for the link a little of Z goes a long way... LOL
I did help, since I'm not looking to pair with my Lyr3 it doesn't sound like they would pair well with my Audio-gd.
